Sustainability

Being sustainable means choosing what kind of business you want to run. Controlling, improving and eventually reversing the environmental impact; ensuring positive human, social and economic impact across the supply chain: this is fundamental stuff. It seems crazy that the fashion industry got so F'd up to generate inimmaginable levels of waste and use slavery to keep functioning and growing.

We don't think there's anything radical about sustainability. It all seems pretty basic and so we are new and we start fresh.

We want to design clothes that you will want to keep forever, that will give you joy even when they are definitely old

  • Eco-Obsessed Materials

We only work with 100% GOTS Certified Cotton and Recycled Materials

Check each product for the certifications.

Our screen print and DTG inks are water based and 100% solvent free.

Our embroidery threads are made of 100% natural rayon viscose, which comes from wood pulp from sustainably managed forests.

  • Stay (Climate) Positive

WE PLANT A MANGROVE TREE FOR EVERY PRODUCT YOU BUY

Mangrove trees sequester over 300kg of CO2 emissions during their life, the equivalent of more than 700 miles in a car in greenhouse emissions.

  • Human and Social Positive Impact

ETHICAL SUPPLY CHAIN AND POSITIVE SOCIAL IMPACT

Our textile suppliers are audited for a wide range of social and sustainability criteria.

Our reforestation partners Ecologi and Eden Projects employ people from impoverished communities to become transformational agents of global forest restoration.

Sustainable Ethos

WE TRY TO MAKE SOMETHING GOOD WITH EVERY CHOICE WE MAKE, FROM THE OBVIOUS STUFF LIKE PRODUCT MATERIALS AND PACKAGING TO WHOM WE BANK WITH.

WE PARTNER WITH SUPPLIERS WHO ARE ALIGNED WITH US ON THIS.

Far from achieving perfection, we believe we are on a good path at least. If you have any questions please drop us an email hello@pobo.co.uk
